2020 – A heartfelt Veterans Day “Merci” from a friend in France

YPO Vauclair is a cherished friend of Jack Port’s and mine.  Jack is my dear friend, who is a 4th Division D-Day Veteran of Utah Beach.  Jack will be 99 years old this coming April and is doing well.

My dear American friends

Like forgetting that November 11, 1918, the end of World War I, where many US soldiers gave their lives for our LIBRTE, since 1917, 26 years later, your soldiers came back to save Europe, passing through Normandy in 1944, Dear friends of America, we will not forget,

Today, we admire the American people, mobilize for this election, there is only one people in the world so democratic, which has always shown, by its unity, by its courage, by its power, to solve the many problems of humanity throughout the world,

Dear Friends, with all the French, I wish “GOOD WIND and GREAT PEACE”
to your country, which we love,

Good health to all Americans!
LONG LIVE THE UNITED STATES,

One of your Friends from Normandy,
Hippolyte Vauclair
