Buckle up!  It is time for my annual Normandy pilgrimage to honor America’s D-Day and WWII Heroes.

After Normandy – Back to 1914

I will follow the fateful path of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, from his castle just south of Prague, through Vienne, and on to Sarajevo.

On June 28, I will be in Sarajevo for the ninety-ninth anniversary of the assassination of the Archduke, which was the spark that ignited the inferno of the Great War –  the flash point!
